Same Dream||Split Mind

Overview

Same Dream||Split Mind is a top-down cooperative puzzle game where two halves of the same mind must work together to escape a dream.

After a tragic accident, a person falls into a coma. Inside their subconscious, the Left Brain and Right Brain become separate characters, each with unique abilities. To wake up, they must cooperate, solve environmental puzzles, and reach the end of each dream.

The game was created for the "We Are On The Same Boat" game jam.

Story

Following a serious accident, the protagonist is trapped in a coma. Their mind splits into two beings:

• Left Brain (Sky Blue): Observant and logical. It can perceive hidden objects and activate special platforms to reveal paths and obtain keys.
• Right Brain (Orange): Creative and practical. It can temporarily build structures that help both characters cross obstacles and solve puzzles.

Although they think differently, neither can escape alone. Only by combining their strengths can they progress through the dream world and eventually wake up.

Gameplay

• Control two unique characters.
• Solve environmental puzzles using both abilities.
• Build temporary structures to create new paths.
• Discover hidden objects and activate platforms.
• Collect keys to unlock the exit.
• Progress through increasingly challenging dream levels.

• WASD – Move
• Left Mouse (Hold) – Carry objects
• F – Build temporary structures
• Esc – Pause / Settings / Exit

• 4 handcrafted puzzle levels
• Character-switching gameplay
• Building and hidden-object mechanics
• Dream-inspired environments

More mechanics, levels, visual polish, and story elements are planned after the game jam.

Theme: "We Are On The Same Boat"

The theme represents two sides of the same person sharing the exact same fate. Neither the Left Brain nor the Right Brain can complete the journey alone. They are literally and emotionally "on the same boat"—working together to overcome obstacles and wake the person trapped in a coma.
